In August, I spent a day as an extra on one of my favorite TV shows, Leverage, which is on the TNT network. On the day “my” episode was set to air, my family huddled around the TV screen to see my big debut and . . . nothing. The episode turned out to be a two-parter, and my part was nowhere to be seen. So, this week, we gathered ’round again and this time we were rewarded. There I was: “Man Walking on Sidewak.” I guess you could say it all seems like a blur, because it is.

I had fun, though. I moved to Portland a little over a year ago, and it’s so cool to see more and more productions being filmed here. Grimm even shot an episode right on my street (they didn’t bother to warn the residents first, but I’ll forgive them because I like the show). And, of course, there’s the cult hit Portlandia.
Don’t worry. I won’t be heading off to Hollywood to seek my fame and fortune. I’m happy here in Portland, making printables.

)
Whew!
Thank you, Kevin, that you refuse to go seeking the fame and fortune!
We are happy to have you here!
Actually, this is the way TV shows and documents works, you know.. a lot of time spent on the “scene” and just few seconds on the screen..
Do not be discouraged, please, and let us see you in other shows too!
Have a happy day there!
Leverage is one of my favorites too. Thanks, and what was the name of that episode I may stll have it DVR’d.

ha ha…just like life. We spend hours and days and years doing something “important” and then it disappears from our lives when another project comes along. Congratulations on your debut! What fun it must have been to be a part of such a large project and see how it all comes together!
Nice to see you Mr Blur, lol.
Kevin,
I feel your pain. I’ve work as an extra in several movies and my experience, in both time invested and results on the screen, were similar to yours.
Eric
