Happy New Year from Kevin

by kevin on January 3, 2012

Happy New Year! I hope you’re ready to hit the ground running, armed with your free 2012 calendars and other handy printables from FreePrintable.net.

My family and I finished 2011 by taking some much-desired time off and relaxing in the gorgeous Hawaiian island of Oahu. We had the pleasure of visiting a beach that’s a popular spot for sleepy turtles. We used a zoom lens to get a picture of this nappy guy.

May 2012 bring you all kinds of great things. I’m well-rested from my trip and plan to bring you many, many new free and low-cost printables in the coming year.

Reading your blog about the Secret Service men brings back memories for me in spades. Sarah Palin was speaking in a space near the building I worked in. Her daughter Bristol walked to our building to use the restroom. She must not have informed the secret service men of her intentions because as I was holding the door for her and directing her to the restroom they came behind her and with their sunglasses and all shot daggers at me. I held the door for them also and spoke to them. They nodded and headed straight to stand outside the woman’s restroom. It was only on their way out did they acknowledge that I was indeed a human being and not a alien. Bristol and her friend were especially cordial and smiled at us. The Secret Service has a job to do and I fully understood their position, but once they saw I was not a threat they could at least gotten the frown off of their face sooner. Sincerely, Judy Schnell, OH

Loved the picture of the turtle. Living in Florida were had the most wonderful experience of releasing baby sea turtles @ 2AM one year. My son being about 5 then, LOVED it. May daughter, 3 yrs old, was a bit frightened of the flippers moving in her hand.

thanks for sharing!
p.s.
