New Monologues Site

If you’re an actor, you probably know that choosing an audition piece can be hard. It has to fit your “type” but show off emotional range and usually not exceed four to five minutes. I’ve now introduced InstantMonologues.com, a helpful site that provides free monologues for every actor who needs them.

All of the 26 monologues are free for public use, and the choices include quite a few classics. You won’t have to dig through old scripts to find the perfect comedy monologue from Oscar Wilde, or the best classic monologue from Sophocles or Aristophanes. There are also plenty of dramatic Shakespeare excerpts from various plays, and options from George Bernard Shaw, Anton Chekhov, and Moliere as well.

In addition to the well-known classics, I decided to add a unique and contemporary spin to the site by adding a number of original monologues for children, teens, men, and women of all ages. There’s a genre, style, gender, length, and voice for everyone.

All monologues at InstantMonologues.com is available to download and print for free as a PDF or DOC. Have fun with them, and break a leg!
